I’m a web analytics geek. I absolutely love looking at traffic numbers, seeing how traffic flows through our website and our clients’ websites. I’m always interested to see what content on our website folks are interested in. I only managed to knock out 16 blog posts this past year which is well below my goal for how often I add stuff to the blog. Honestly though there’s a reason for this lack of output… we were BUSY! We had an outstanding year developing websites, working on SEO projects and managing social media for our clients.
I want to take this opportunity to once again thank all of our clients. We absolutely LOVE working for you and look forward to continuing our relationships into 2014 and beyond. I’ve said it time and time again… We don’t want to be simply a vendor… we want to be a business partner. That singular goal drives our actions. Thank you.
And now… The Top 10 Blog Post From 2013:
(Based On Number Of Views)

#6 – Website Analytics – Referral Traffic
Analytics platforms are an outstanding tool to get an understanding of your traffic and how well your website is performing. However, if you don’t know what the reports are showing you they lose their value. In this post, we delved into the concept of referral traffic.
#5 – Digital And Email Marketing Done Right By LinkedIn
In a world where we get more SPAM email messages than real ones it’s always nice to see email marketing done right. This post talked about a great campaign from LinkedIn.
#4 – Deliver On Your Commitments
Sadly there are many organizations that will do and say anything to close the deal and to make a quick buck. That includes breaking promises and not fulfilling their obligations. KTC Digital is proud to be not only a vendor to our clients, but also a partner. With that, comes a sense of obligation to our clients’ needs and a strong need to deliver on our commitments.
#3 – Invalid Security Token Error – Jetpack Comments And Twitter
Climbing the list from #5 last year this post talks about the interaction between the Twitter API and the WordPress plugin Jetpack’s commenting system.
#2 – Jetpack Carousel In Action
I put this one together in December of 2012 so it didn’t have much time to make last year’s list. Jetpack continues to be an incredibly powerful plugin for WordPress.
#1 – Email – You’re Not Too Important To Answer
Up from #2 last year, this one continues to be near and dear to my heart. Throughout my career I’ve had to deal with WAY too many “professional” people who flat out refuse to respond to email.
As was the case last year, the readers of our blog are interested in what we do and how we do it. Other pages that got a ton of visits were the home page (naturally), our services page and about me *blush*.
